Heart on your bag

IT'S comforting to discover that so many students have fallen in love with Sheffield.  'I Love Sheffield' (with the 'love' written as a red heart graphic) bags are one of the most popular items in The Studio, the shop of the University of Sheffield's students' union.  The bags are produced by Sheffield businesswoman and social entrepreneur Julia Gash, and are part of the 'Bag It Don't Bin It' campaign.  Five hundred bags have already been sold, and the shop will definitely be ordering more. 

Manager Jessica Moore says "The bags are amongst our best-sellers. We are a small shop, so to tell 500 of anything is really good. Students really like things which link to the city. We sell Henderson's Relish T-shirts from their factory and also T-shirts which say Made in Sheffield with the assay office mark. They are also very popular."
