MD Julia Gash reduces her carbon footprint.
Sheffield residents are being urged to make a commitment to helping the
environment by signing a pledge to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
Sheffield
Is My Planet campaign is asking people to make simple promises which
reduce fuel and energy use, such as eating seasonal vegetables and
switching to energy-saving light bulbs, or walking to work or school.
Bag It Don't Bin It MD, Julia Gash, is among those who have signed up.
Julia is a keen forager and often goes gathering for rose hips,
berries, wild garlic and anything else that she can find in
Sheffield. She
finds free, organic food in all sorts of places, especially where she
works – in the unlikely setting of the industrial landscapes around
Burngreave and Attercliffe.
To help more people be good to the
environment, Sheffield Is My Planet has a team of experts on-hand to
give free help and support with home energy use and insulation, smarter
driving tips and to provide personal travel plans.

or text 'promise' to 82010 to make your pledge – after which you will
be told the total amount of carbon dioxide and money you'll be saving.
